Fairview Sport Ponies began with three main goals in mind: to make it possible for ponies to compete in many different disciplines; to breed athletic ponies capable of excelling in all forms of equestrian
sports; and to make these ponies available to people of all ages,
disciplines and capabilities.
With these goals in mind, Fairview Sport Ponies
has become associated with many equestrian organizations such
as the USDF, USEF, American Sport Pony Registry and the Welsh Pony
& Cob Society.Standing at stud at Fairview is the talented, intelligent, athletic German Sport Pony
stallion,
Nijinsky - a 7 year old bay stallion who stands at 13.2 hands and
is currently licensed with the American
Sport Pony Registry. He received a score of 8.5 in jumping
and an overall score of 7.8 at the American Sport Pony inspection
in 2002. Nijinsky has unlimited potential for dressage, driving
and jumping. He would be an excellent stud to refine any

his 2005 fillies! Fairview Sport Ponies is conveniently located 1.5 miles north of Camden Village in Southern Illinois. The farm is owned by Jerry and Jan Mitchell. Their daughter, Emily Mitchell is one of the top Junior/Young Riders in the Nation. As a testament to Emily's talent, she earned her USDF Bronze Medal Rider Award in 2002 and, most recently, earned her USDF Silver Medal Rider Award in 2005.
